Padre Azul Anejo Tequila is crafted by Padre Azul, a premium tequila brand recognized for its commitment to quality and craftsmanship. The distillery is in the heart of Jalisco, Mexico, a region famous for its ideal conditions for growing Blue Weber agave. This tequila is made from carefully selected Blue Weber agave harvested after eight years to ensure optimal sweetness and flavor. The agave pinas are slow cooked in traditional brick ovens, allowing their natural sweetness to develop. After cooking, the agave is crushed to extract the juice and fermented using natural yeast. The fermented juice undergoes double distillation in copper pot stills, producing a pure and refined spirit. Padre Azul Anejo is aged for 18 months in hand selected oak bourbon barrels, which adds complex flavors and a smooth, rich character to the tequila. It has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 40%.
